We are getting in gear for Christmas! Our favorite time of year. We have been listening to Christmas music for awhile now on Spotify. We don’t go all out on Christmas decorations but we do love decorating the tree, hanging stockings and putting our nativity scene up.

Today we stayed home from Black Friday deals. I actually got my shopping done other than a few small things a month ago. I like to view the holidays as a giving time instead of seeing people fight over a toy. A toy that will end up in the bottom of the toy box. I have chosen to spend my Black Fridays with my family at home decorating.

This year, I did pile the kids into the van to pick out a Christmas tree. We live in a small town so the hard core shoppers were out of town which means I can shop in peace. We found a 6.5 foot Christmas tree for $30. We came home and set it all up. It was a lot of fun. After we got it done, we just relaxed. We did get some wrapping done. We have a tree full of presents but none of them are actually ours. Our first focus isn’t what can we get but what can we give to others.
