5 Conversations You Must Have With Your Son by Vicki Courtney

I was nervous when I found out that I was pregnant with a boy. I didn’t know what I was going to do with a boy. Obviously, I will love him but how do I help him become the man that I know he is capable of being. Unfortunately, Stoney and I aren’t the only ones that are raising our kids. There is a world filled with people that want to help raise them. It might be family members, friends or complete strangers. One thing was clear, I want to be proactive when it comes to raising my family.

Vicki Courtney is a best-selling author of Your Girl, Your Boy, and 5 Conversations You Must Have With Your Daughter. Vicki Courtney is the Virtuous Reality Ministries, producing online content and hosting events across the United States for preteen and teen girls and their parents. Vicki has shared her youth culture wisdom on CNN, FOX News, Focus on the Family, and blogs each week at VirtueAlert.com.

5 Conversations You Must Have With Your Son is a must for parents with boys. These are not just conversations that you will have once during their childhood. They are discussions that will be ongoing throughout the years.

1. Don’t define manhood by the culture’s wimpy standards. It’s okay to be a man!
2. What you don’t learn to conquer may become your master.
3. Not everyone’s doing it! (And other naked truths about sex you won’t hear in the locker room.)
4. Boyhood is only for a season. P.S. It’s time to grow up!
5. Godly men are in short supply—dare to become one!

I know that these conversations will help us raise Myles with a lot of laughs and a solid foundation. I love the tips that are geared towards helping guide these discussions through different stages of your son’s life. My favorite topic is “Godly Men”. Above all else, I want Myles to grow up loving God. I want him to know that it is okay to be different. I purchased Vicki Courtney’s 5 Conversations You Must Have With Your Daughter. I use these books to help tell my children the truth about life so that they can have the tools to stand up against worldly ways.

I received a copy of the book for review purposes. The opinions are my own.
