During Season 8, Episode 11, Alan can’t afford a Birthday gift for Lyndsey. He offers massages at the mall to purchase a pearl necklace for Lyndsey. It turns out to be made of mints. Alan starts to consider taking some of Jake’s college money to purchase her gift. In the end, he steals a pair of earrings from his ex wife, Judith. Most would say that Alan acted extreme when it came to a birthday gift for Lyndsey.
I always try to be reasonable when it comes to gifts. I want them to know that it came from my heart even if it didn’t cost a lot of money. That’s always been more important to me. I don’t think that someone that is special to me would want me to go poor to purchase their gift. If they don’t understand that then they aren’t as special to me as I thought. Some of Alan’s antics are funny to watch. If you would like to watch some out-of-control things watch them here: http://bit.ly/quDYIe!”
