Myles is nearly 17 months and is barely getting his first haircut! I will admit that I was not ready for this. I didn’t have to give the girls their first haircut until they were closer to 2. Being my baby, I was definitely not ready especially seeing his adorable baby curls. I was amazed when even my husband admitted to not being ready to cut those curls off. The man who tells all little boys they should just bic their heads.

Of course, I didn’t have much time to think about this decision. My sister called up and asked if she could cut Myles hair today. She was over in a matter of minutes, scissors in hand. I was grateful that he was sound asleep and slept through it. When she asked me how short I wanted his hair, I just looked baffled. I don’t know! She is supposed to be the expert. I don’t know how to cut a baby boy’s hair or even how to style it. So she started cutting.

This is a whole new territory for a mom of girls but I’m definitely keeping his hair short until he gets older and decides he wants to grow it out. Let’s hope he stays away from that for awhile because I love the short cuts on a little boy.
