Mamavation Monday: Nutrition lessons

This week has been such a busy week. I have been walking a lot more lately. I really enjoy it. I also learned that I get sick if I am not eating healthier. Fried foods have started making me sick. Now I know I really need to buckle down and start eating better. I just don’t have a choice anymore. As I work on this, I have started to notice that I actually crave fresh fruits and love them. It helps curb my sweet tooth for the most part too. I have started eating popcorn for snacks too. I already love popcorn so it’s a perfect snack. Stoney and I also started the Gruntstyle 2 week challenge today. We did Puke Me Please and I realize how badly I hate pushups. But I did them. Tomorrow is Sore winner.

What nutrition lessons have you learned from your kids?

I think the biggest lesson I have learned from my kids is that it is possible to choose water over soda and fruits over candy. I witness them do this daily. It hit me that if they are already making this choice, I must be doing something right? I love it when we go to the store and they are asking for different fruits instead of junk food. They are such amazing little people. :)
