This week, we are getting ready to move Myles into his own room. This is not an easy move for me. He will actually be the youngest to move into their own room. We usually start transitioning them when they are 2.  I have to clear out his bedroom which was converted into a toy room last year. I am not sure how I will sleep the first couple nights or how he will sleep. I do know that it will be hard. This past winter, he was so sick with bronchitis from about September until March. He also got RSV in March. Night times were horrible. Breathing treatments were common. After losing a baby to SIDS at night, this is not easy.

Mydlink-enabled camera is installed to make our nights slightly less nerve wracking. One of my favorite features is the night vision which is available on the DCS-932L model. I can watch Myles clearly without disturbing him with a light. Another great feature is that I am able to monitor the live feed via iPad or computer. They also offer mobile monitoring from laptop, iPhone and Android phone or tablet. As soon as we started the install process, it took about 20 minutes before we were live streaming. Of course, most people don’t have 5 little ones trying to help! I was still quite impressed with how easy it was. You can choose to mount it on the wall or even a shelf. Allowing you to have control of what you see. Although it does need to be near an outlet. The power cord could definitely be longer.

It provides local recording, playback, live view, multi-camera viewing and remote control and configuration. It is also user friendly! That is very important for moms. We don’t have time to learn new software when we are busy! As you can see, the image is clear. Another great feature is that I can tell when the kids say “Hey mom the room is clean.” As you can see, it was far from it!

I’m actually looking forward to putting Myles into his own room and see how well he does. Being able to watch him while he sleeps will definitely keep me from panic mode. Even better is when he whines in his sleep, I know I can just peek on the camera to see if he is really sleeping or needing something. It is the perfect peace of mind that all moms deserve.
