5 years ago today, I woke up and thought it would be funny to play April fool’s on Stoney. I was barely 37 weeks pregnant. We knew she would make her appearance at any time. I remember talking to a friend on instant messaging. The same friend that 9 months before had told me to test because she thought I was pregnant. Now she was telling me to call the hospital because my contractions were really close together. The problem is that I had been having the same contractions for 20 weeks now.

I called the hospital and told them we would be coming to be checked. Stoney was on his way home. We lived 50 miles from the hospital so we had a decent drive there. Contractions were the same even after walking around Walmart. I decided to just go get checked since we were near. My April’s fool joke backfired. A few hours after arriving at the hospital, I was holding a 5lb 9 oz bundle of joy. We were in love.

5 years later and she has proven to be anything but quiet. She is so full of life, always running and wanting to learn. Sydnee loves spending time with Stoney. Her favorite place to be is at the farm. she loves to go feed the pigs, run with them and just be free. She is completely fascinated with animals. She has no problems with the understanding that we raise pigs to eat them.

I have never seen a little girl so full of spunk. Her blonde hair, blue eyes sets her apart from her brothers and sisters. Her favorite meal is bratwurst, sauerkraut, and mustard. Thanks to daddy. She loves peace signs and if one of her clothes have them it is her favorite. She is definitely stubborn. Unlike her mama! Ok so maybe a little from me. I look forward to seeing how she is in another 5 years. No doubt she will be keeping us on our toes and laughing.
