Myles has RSV

Last Friday Myles was diagnosed with RSV. When we took him in to be tested, his o2 was 83%. So they admitted him and we came home Monday morning. Yesterday during a nap, I noticed he was retracting a little bit. Then when he was awake, he seemed fine. I started noticing it again when he would stand up so I just did my best to keep him sitting to play. Then last night when he fell asleep, he began retracting harder. Panicked, I took him to the ER to have his O2 checked again. I told them that he was fine when he was awake but they insisted his O2 was fine since it was 93-94, AWAKE! Frustrated I took him home and gave him a breathing treatment. Once he fell asleep, the retracting began again. This time, I got it on video. I have given up on the local hospital and we are getting ready to call his pediatrician and drive the 50 miles to someone who will listen. Please continue praying.

Gena.. let me know if you need anything… seriously. Prayers are with you and for Myles! I think you’re doing the right thing by going down instead of continuing here. Mothers instinct is the best. You know your child.

  2. Your hospital drives me nuts, You guys have nothing but problems there. I hope his ped can see him today. Continued prayers for you guys <3

  3. Dear Lord, please wrap your loving arms around baby Myles. Heal his body and give him strength. Please give the doctors knowledge and guidance about the best way to treat him. Please also be with his parents and give them strength and peace during this difficult time. In Jesus name, Amen.
