Homeschooling brings out the critics. How do you deal with them?
When I made the choice to homeschool, I knew it would come with critics. Afterall, everyone has an opinion. The questions started coming. How do I have time to homeschool with so many little ones at home? Are you smart enough to homeschool her? How will she ever socialize? I just had to laugh at most of them. Of course the people that asked the first question only have 2-3 kids. Here are my thoughts to these questions:
How do you have time to homeschool with so many little ones at home?
I lock them in the bedroom anyways. How else am I suppose to enjoy my bon bons and soap operas!
Are you smart enough to homeschool her?
Probably not! Afterall, I only went through 4 years of college and took quite a few education classes. Despite that, I am still trying to figure out what 2+2 is.
How will she ever socialize?
I would rather her not socialize. Socializing usually leads to dating then kissing then teen pregnancy.
Doesn’t she needs friends?
Why? So they can show her what drugs and alcohol are? Plus I don’t want to deal with bullies and the drama that comes along with friends.
Don’t you need a break from your kids?
I do! That’s why they invented locks! Didn’t you read the first question?
I just thank them for their concern, and pass the bean dip! Onto the next subject. Honestly I don’t know how people manage to send their kids to school, it sounds like more work!

First of all I would like to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing. I have had a tough time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there.
