Doubleshot bans breastfeeding in their shops!
Wow is all I have to say. I’m sitting on Twitter and enjoying the conversation when I see this tweet from BabyDickey!
#bfing RT @SylkoZakur To my OK followers boycott RT @thedoubleshot: Notice: No breastfeeding at the DoubleShot. Thank you.
I was baffled and had to know more. That’s when I seen these tweets:
Could a company seriously think that it would be great for business to say this in public? All I can say is GO STARBUCKS and would someone please show Doubleshot the law!

Wow, is all I can say. The audacity of someone to do that. I would be livid if I was told I could NOT nurse my baby where ever I wanted.
Its not their right…

Maybe instead of looking at a womans breasts when walking across the room they could look at her face.. or where they are walking!

I am a breastfeeding mother and a Doubleshot patron. I agree breastfeeding in public is a mothers right, but I also feel there is a certain level of modesty that should be expressed. I am extremely modest in my breastfeeding, the only person I don’t wear a cover or a blanket in front of is my husband. I feel it is my choice to breastfeed, but it is not everyone else’s choice to watch me do it.
I don’t think business should say they don’t allow breastfeeding, but just as it is allowed to say no shirt, no shoes, no service, I feel that you should at least give every effort to not exposing your breast while breastfeeding.
I breastfeed and do so in public a lot. I ALWAYS cover up. But that doesn’t give anyone the right to tell me to cover up. A lot of nursing moms do breastfeed without covering up and don’t show anymore than you’d see in a provocative shirt. I’m sure we will not be seeing signs on the door that says “Please don’t wear low cut shirts.” Most women do breastfeed discreetly and have the right to breastfeed. We need to protect that right!
