Where have all the crayons gone? Help a mama out!

This mama needs your help! Here is the dilemma. It’s Thursday night and homework is due the next morning. Everything is done except for the coloring parts! “Where are the crayons?”  and I get back “I don’t know.” Really they were just here when you were coloring in the coloring books! Now they are missing?

Seriously who keeps stealing the crayons. I have tried different solutions to this problem. A big tub of crayons. Went down the drain.

I think the next thing we will try is the Bartering system. ”Oh you want a crayon? Well give me your shoe.”

But then it will just end up piled in my room. So back to find another solution. Can you help me?

  1. We don’t have this problem, but we do have an art supplies set of slide out drawers in our “library” room with a drawer dedicated to crayons. Most of the time the crayons stay there, but the girls are not the best at putting things away and I often have to remind them to put the crayons back away later.

  2. lol, the bartering system. I keep our crayons on top of the fridge so no one can reach them otherwise I’d be constantly buying new one’s.

  3. We use diaper wipes containers.. the cute Huggies ones.. and we have like 3 of them heaping full of crayons.. they only get one at a time. I am constantly finding broken or in Caedens case.. half eaten crayons!

Also.. maybe you guys could make crayons.. that seems to make them last a little longer because they become protective of their super cute heart and fish shaped crayons!

  4. You should keep a spare box of crayons (good ones) in your room for homework. That way when they want to color, say “Oh! You should have treated YOUR crayons better.” And they can still do homework! :)
