IHOP I’m severely disappointed!
Ihop has been making a huge deal about this All You Can Eat Pancake deal right? Well this pregnant mama was very excited! When I took my sister to our Las Vegas trip recently, we went to IHOP. I was craving IHOP pancakes. I was ready to eat ALL I COULD EAT! So our other friend ordered some as well. As soon as we got our plates, the waitress came over and asked how it tasted. Then the only time we seen her was when she was helping other tables. She wouldn’t even glance our way! OOH but wait! She is on her way over! She practically tossed the bill down as she kept going! Seriously?? What is wrong with this lady! I just wanted pancakes! What part of All You Can Eat did I misunderstand? I assumed I was going to get more than the TWO pancakes that were on my plate. Afterall, the menu claimed I would get three! But I figured it was okay since we would get more. WRONG! So IHOP you are now on my shit list and I won’t be going back to IHOP when I visit Vegas or anywhere else again!

What a terribly rude woman. Granted, she must have been having an horrific day although that does not give her license to be rude.
I love IHop, I will now boycott it. (I shall try and make that butter pecan syrup at home.)

OMG! I would have told her to take the bill back, stop ignoring my table and bring on more pancakes! How rude, I hope you didn’t tip her, it is not nice to tease a preggers with pancakes and then not deliver..lol

I have gotten this deal before and have eaten way to many pancakes….BUT the service at IHOP is always horrible so I am not surprised by your treatment! I would have waited and waited until I got my pancakes though! lol

OMG. I would seriously call the 800 number and complain about this. I have never eaten IHOP but I have eaten at other places and had to call and complain and they usually take care of it and send you some gift cards or free food coupons to make up for it. At least it would make them aware that they have a shitty waitress.

The last time I was at IHOP with my step-mom..they had all-you-can-eat pancakes…we each got two. We would have gotten more…if I had not found a really long dark black hair in my pancake. Yep…seriously. I was not happy. We literally stopped eating the rest of our other food too. They said that they wouldn’t charge us for the meal…but they did anyway. And we won’t be going there anymore. I have shunned Rochester/Henrietta IHOP…and ALL others.
IHOP is on my crap list as well. We went there last week for my birthday, not only did our server sit us down at a table with strawberry syrup all over it, she delivered my order incomplete (my omelet was missing half the ingredients) and my pancakes were royally burned. She didn’t come back to our table until she was giving us the bill. Not a single drink refill, never checked on us and the food was so screwed up I didn’t even eat it. Can you guess how much she got for a tip?
I won’t be going back to IHOP EVER again.

That’s terrible! Is IHOP a franchise? because the wait staff at our IHOP has always been much better than at any other chain restaurant around here. No excuse for that kind of service.

Ya know! When people are rude, I generally try to think like that! But she seemed very happy just didn’t bother to wait on us.
I am sorry to learn that you had a bad experience. I don’t know if it would have been corrected by simply asking the server for more pancakes. The servers should be observing the tables and asking guests if they would like more, but sometimes, despite best efforts this does not happen.
I am sure she would have been pleased to get you more pancakes if asked. I do encourage you to call 800-241-4467 and ask for guest services so they can note your conern and make the franchise owner aware of your experience.

Honestly if she would have even given us a chance we could have asked. We weren’t even given that opportunity to try. The only way I could have gotten her attention to ask is to stand up and say something in front of a whole restaurant.
IHOP IS LIKE ONE OF MY FAV PLACES EVER! HOW COULD THEY DO SUCH A THING… *SOB* HOW RUDE. WELL MAYB ITS JUST THAT WOMANN MAYBE NOT ALL THE EMPLOYEES ARE LIKE THAT. MAYB THE WOMAN WAS JUST BEIN RUDE ND IF U GET A DIFFERENT WAITREESS NEXT TIME YOU’LL GET YOUR ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKES.
I know I am reading this really late but i’d like to say that just because you recieved awful service in one store does not mean every store is like that. I know because I used to serve tables at an IHOP, as well as other restaurants- it can be tough at times to please everyone. I am currently pregnant and am planning on having my baby shower at our local Ihop. I *love* the food and am able to empathize with servers (instead of making a hard day at work worse for the girl) and I usually get great service. Hope you rethink your boycott!
