Yep I did it! I ran away! I mentioned before that I was going to California. Well I did it! I also survived to tell you all about it! I had a great time! Best of all I did NOT get lost! I will admit, I was a little worried. I had never left the kids home with Stoney by himself for this long EVER! I spent two nights away when I was at Ladies Retreat this summer. Then I went to Las Vegas with my sister for a night. I trust him completely but it’s still not easy! So off I go leaving my FIVE babies at home to fend for themselves.

Wednesday morning I got the girls off to school and headed for the open road! Thanks to a friend here, I borrowed her GPS and was good to go! Of course the roads were horrible! It snowed in Utah and finally turned to rain the further south I got. It was a lot clearer as I went through California. But I was definitely glad I had bought new wipers before! I arrived at Grandma’s safe and sound!

Thursday I went shopping with my Grandma! I was treated to Godiva outlet as well! YUMMY! I have to say the BEST chocolate ever! We couldn’t go shopping without picking something up for Myles and the girls! The girls each got earrings, necklaces and hair clips! Myles got just what he needed! Clothes! I absolutely love Gymboree and Carter’s for him. I went into several stores and my grandma quickly realized just how bad I was. I just keep wanting to walk over to the girly stuff. It’s not that I don’t like the clothes, I just love the girl stuff more and that’s what I’m used to. But I am getting used to it! I seen all the cute little Madra shorts and decided that he’ll be living in those too! I honestly can’t wait to put his clothes on him and dress up this little man!

Friday was my big day! I set the GPS for Tustin and was on my way! Of course I had to get some oil first and tease Stoney by asking him if I put it in the cap that says 710. He didn’t find that very funny. Stokke was treating some moms to lunch at Macaroni Grill to celebrate Babies R Us bringing Stokke products into the Tustin BRU! While at lunch we got to check out the infamous Tripp Trapp High Chair, the Xplory stroller and the play, learn, eat table top! We played games and met some awesome moms! We walked away with a gift bag of goodies! I received a Stokke Care hooded towel for Myles. It is so soft and luxurious! I can’t wait to wrap him in it. I also got a gift card to Babies R Us and a Baby Daze book to keep track of all of the stuff I need for Myles. I also have to say that the Stokke staff were amazing!

After the lunch, I went to meet Kadi Prescott and Kim from Mentally Inked. I was incredibly excited! I fell in love with Kadi’s kids. They are truly the best. Once I got with Kadi and Kim, there was nothing but laughter going on. Kadi opened her home to me and I felt so welcomed! Kim was just as funny in person as she is on Twitter every day! I couldn’t have been in better company. Of course we had to explain to Kadi what the difference was between the men and women’s restrooms! Apparently she got confused before dinner and decided to hang out in the men’s room by herself!

The next day I drove home and just had a relaxing day. I was met with lots of love and hugs. It’s an amazing feeling when you come home and feel that love. I also have to say that I’m very proud of Stoney! He even made the girls cookies while I was gone. Dough in a tub but hey better than a box! Now I’m refreshed and ready to take on life with 5 kids at home full time!
