I have to say that it is so exciting to be at 25 weeks and not be on medication to stop contractions or going in for regular appointments. With my last two pregnancies I had cervical checks at every appointment which were 2-3 weeks. Any woman knows these are not fun! Since my initial appointment I have only had two cervical checks. One of those were today. Because I have had minor spotting (nearly non existent) he wanted to check just to be safe. CLOSED! I was positive about that because I haven’t had any contractions. The only discomfort or pain that I have had is ligament related.

Yes ligaments are killing me! He likes to lay just right or something because it’s horrible at times. So I have no choice to follow doctor orders to rest as much as possible for 48 hours AFTER spotting. Currently it is ongoing which had raised the concern. I’m not on bedrest though! My weight is still doing good. I am up 14lbs from my beginning weight. My blood pressure was 128/60something. High for me but not a huge deal. Especially with all that’s been going on the last few days. I check it regularly at home and it’s been great. So we’re not going to worry about it unless it gets higher or I start developing symptoms of Pre-eclampsia.

Myles heart rate was 153 which is about average for him. It was great to listen to him! Today was also the first day to start measuring my uterus. Right on! I have one more appointment before I start going every 2 weeks! I have to get my fun glucose testing done that day too unless I happen to be in town before that. Since we live 50 miles from the hospital, I try to keep it all on the same day. I even got all my appointments scheduled through 35 weeks! It’s so exciting to have them  done! At the very most I have 8 appointments left if I go until 39 weeks! The receptionist said usually he does every 2 weeks until 37 weeks but because I generally go at 37 weeks, I might go in weekly at that time. Did I mention I popped?? My belly button that is! Holy Hell!

Now I’m off to panic that I have to start shopping before he gets here! Where are your favorite places to shop for boys?
