Macy’s BELIEVE campaign supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Inspired by the New York Sun’s famous “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus” editorial from 1897. It includes a letter-writing “Believe Stations” in Macy’s stores across the country. Macy’s will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation up to $1 million for every letter that is received. There will be a national Santa Tour, an honorary National Believe Day, a “Yes, Virginia”animated special, and a new TV commercial featuring Queen Latifah.

You can help Macy’s BELIEVE campaign by going to the website and making a donation to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Macy’s and Make-A-Wish consider each donation another reason to believe. The Make-A-Wish Foundation makes the wishes of children come true. These children are dealing with life threatening medical conditions. The Make-A-Wish Foundation believes that this will inspire hope, strength and joy in these children and their families.

Download a letter template from the Macy’s BELIEVE site and have each child write a letter to Santa. Share the news with your friends and family as well! Then drop the letters off at your local Macy’s store to be delivered to Santa.
