I keep hearing that Las Vegas is not a family friendly vacation spot. Honestly, I don’t understand this train of thought other than someone obviously hasn’t done their research. I know I used to think this way as well. Las Vegas is an adult’s playground. Not anymore folks! I am going to share with you a couple family friendly hotels. Hotels that will satisfy every family member. So don’t worry, adults will have their fun too!

Excalibur Hotel and Casino

The Excalibur is loaded with kids activities. It begins when you first lay eyes on the castle. Located right off the strip, it is immediately clear that this hotel and casino is catered for families. It has 4 large pools and a waterslide. For all those kids who love Spongebob Squarepants, Excalibur offers a Spongebob movie and ride! After visiting Spongebob and swimming, you are probably famished! How about a meal with some action? Tournament of Kings is the city’s favorite dinner show! It is a bit pricey but it is well worth it. Not everyday you get to watch a jousting match while eating your meal right! Don’t forget the dancing maidens, fireworks and invading armies! When your full you can choose to go shopping or go relax in your suite. Cribs are also provided.

Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino

With a 1.6 Million gallon Shark tank, Mandalay Bay is clearly a family favorite! The Shark Reef Aquarium is North America’s only Predator based aquarium and exhibit. You will get to see all kinds of sharks, sawfish, giant rays, piranhas, moon jellies and the rare golden crocodile. Mandalay Bay is a lot more than the aquarium. It has a giant pool complex with a wave pool and a lazy river. There are 23 restaurants from fine dining to a 24 hour cafe. There is also a showing of Disney’s The Lion King. What a great experience for the whole family.

New York New York Hotel & Casino

New York New York is the home of the 67 MPH rollercoaster. You’ll start your wild ride in the lobby and ride it as the tracks wrap around the hotel. The fun doesn’t just stop there. It also has one of the biggest arcades in Vegas. Don’t forget to walk through the streets of New York without even leaving the hotel! Take a stroll through a brownstone, street-lit, tree-lined Greenwich Village and enjoy the charming sidewalk dining. After your meal, relax in one of the 2000 rooms that are made for you. It is also great for those families on a budget with their lower rates and inexpensive dining.

Now next time someone tells you not to bring your kids to Las Vegas for that family vacation, think again! Remember there are lots of great places for your family to enjoy their vacation.
