Please don’t call my daughter that!
Raising daughters in today’s world isn’t that easy. Yes it is a blast shopping for their cute little dresses and putting matching bows in their hair. Then comes a time when those cute dresses become short skirts or pants with writing on the butt. It seems to start at a younger age now too. As a parent, I am aware of their changing bodies just as much as they are. I try to keep them modest and embrace it. Of course, it seems like everyone else is out to get them to brace their sexuality.
I will tell my daughters how beautiful they are. I think it is important to help build their self esteem. My problem is when someone comes in and calls my daughter SEXY. What makes it worse is when it is a family member that should be sharing the same opinion as me. It really churns my stomach when anyone calls my 10 year old sexy or tells my 3 year old that they are acting sexy. Seriously what is wrong with people!
Yeah, thats totally creepy. You can’t be sexy until your an adult!

OMG thats wicked creepy and just plain wrong! I would be very leery of that family member spending any unsupervised time w/ my daughter after that comment. I am hoping it was harmless, but ya never know so I’d totally be careful around them!

UGH! You know I had this very concern (and many others) flash thru my mind when I had my 20 week ultrasound and found out I was having a girl.
I am so not looking forward to her figuring out she’s a girl (and it’s not far away!)
