Turn your home into a spa with Elmers

1 Comment 21 October 2009

Having girls doesn’t mean we only play Barbie. I love products that allow me to help teach them something and have fun doing it. I think the best time I have ever had with my girls is hanging out, chatting, laughing and doing manicures. It is relaxing, fun and brilliant! You can get your daughter to talk about anything during this time. You can both open up and turn it into a bonding experience!

Elmer’s Magnificent Manicure Kit turns a regular manicure into a lot more fun and a learning experience. Kids can learn about cosmetic chemistry and watch how different things react to each other. This kit is recommended for ages 8 and over. My younger ones loved it just as much as my oldest. My girls found it fascinating to watch the crystal mud bath interact to the water. It was great to watch their reactions as they learned about the Chemistry. The Magnificent Manicure Kit is on Creative Child Magazine’s 2009 Toy of the Year Award in the Educational Toys Category. The kit has everything you need to turn your house into a day spa! You can find this kit at Toys R Us for 19.99.

My daughters loved making their own mud bath and adding the bath salt to watch it dissolve.  After they soaked their hands, they made their own lotion. Which they nicknamed Girl’s Dream. They got to scent it and add the coloring all by themselves. Then they put it in the jar so they could use it anytime! After moisturizing their hands, we took turns using the buffer to get their nails ready for paint. I would do the buffing while they took turns painting each other’s nails. They loved it.

I did find it to be messy and would have loved if it provided a bowl for soaking.

I received this kit as a part of Team Mom. The opinions are solely my own and were not influenced by receiving this kit for free.
