While on the phone last month, Stoney had to rush off the phone. About an hour later, he called me back. He was on his way to the jail to drop off a man.

Typical right? The cops are supposed to arrest people breaking the law.

Well, the reason this is not your typical case is because this man was in his 80s. It doesn’t stop there! The arrest came after breaking some windows and fighting with his 80-something-year-old wife. This couple had been married for 63 years. By today’s standards, that’s an eternity! When I heard the story, I had to giggle. All I can picture is this old man barely able to walk yelling at his wife for something he forgot about 10 minutes later. Obviously, nothing was forgotten.

Stoney learned a lot from that call.

1. Even after 60 years, your wife is STILL in charge.
2. Even an 80 year old can be a danger in his line of work.
3. He probably should have taken some psychology classes and became a counselor. More $$.

As for an update on this couple? Stoney had to counsel them again. He was glad that he was able to keep their fight from escalating.
