Tie Buddies
After a baby’s first steps, you start to wonder if that’s the end of the firsts. But we have the first day of school, riding their bike for the first time, and tying their shoes. All of these things is just another step towards independence. Of course this means they are less dependent on us and growing up. It is all so bittersweet but often times frustrating. “I can’t do it” is a common phrase around my house. Isabelle is the main culprit. Give her a tree or a fence and she’s scaling Mt. Everest. Ask her to ride her bike or tie a shoe and the flood gates are ripped open. Thank goodness for training wheels but what about her shoes? We can’t live on velcro forever!
TIE BUDDIES
Tie Buddies was created to help kids learn to tie their shoes faster and easier. Tie Buddies inventor, Wendy Welling, is a mother of two. Wendy spent months working with prototypes and ideas before perfecting Tie Buddies. Four tie buddies come in a set and include a fun character on each one. These characters make it fun to create stories to increase their interest to learn! Even the packaging is fun!
MORRIS BUNCH APPROVED
Isabelle is my drama queen. Trying to teach her new things can be frustrating because of this. She is afraid of messing up and not being able to do it. I try to help her overcome this fear by being supportive but my efforts are still met with tears. I knew that when she learned to tie her shoe she would be filled with so much pride. It is difficult to teach her as well since she normally doesn’t wear laced shoes. She prefers her dress shoes with EVERYTHING. This girl is going to be wearing heels with shorts. But eventually she will wear tennis shoes and I can’t have her husband teaching her! Here is a little sneak peek of how Isabelle learned to tie her shoes in about 5 minutes! We are going to be getting these for all of Sydnee’s shoes as well!
