Mother’s Day!

I did have quite the day yesterday! I got the girls up and got them ready for church. Stoney was going to go with us but his pants were dry so I let him sleep in. Hey, he did work the night before! Before church, the girls gave me their gifts for me. I got a necklace, matching earrings and a bracelet. I don’t have pictures of them but I’ll get some up soon! The services were great! I also overcame my fear of taking Sydnee to church. She did remarkably well! At first it was a little iffy. But she surprised me and stayed in the nursery. Kambree did wonderful as well. As long as you didn’t bring the big teddy bear out, she did great! The church handed out roses for the women of the church.

When we got home, Stoney made me lunch, BLTs! We also bought strawberries for strawberry shortcake. YUMMY. We tried to sit down and watch a movie but Stoney got called out.  So I made cake balls and tried to not think about him. It’s really nervewracking when he gets called out and I have no idea what he’s doing or if he’s okay. My dad offered to make me dinner since Stoney had to work. He picked the girls up and they went shopping for dinner.

When I got up there, the girls surprised me by buying these beautiful wooden flowers! These are so beautiful! I prefer these to real flowers! They will last forever and I can remember how my daughters picked these out on their own! They were so happy to show them to me.

Of course, we had the choking ordeal with Sydnee. Well we were enjoying some REALLY good strawberry cheesecake and Sydnee started choking. It was scary! I tried to clear her throat and then my dad tried to clear her throat. All we could get out was clear mucous. I called my friend who is a nurse and EMT. She rushed right over. She sent us immediately to the ER because it sounded like something was still stuck in her throat. I called dispatch and got Stoney to meet me down there. When I pulled in, the receptionist looked at me like I was nuts! I told her that she was choking and that she said her throat hurt. Well she just said “well she looks fine so you’ll just have to watch her cause it will be awhile.” UMMM there are TWO patients in the ER! I told her that if they can’t take care of her, I’m taking her to Cedar! That’s when she seen the PA come around the corner and she said “OH can you look at her.” @@ He took me immediately in and listened! Made sure she was ok and then asked for vitals. All came back fine. She must have cleared whatever it was on the way to the ER. BUT if it went into her lungs, then she’ll develop pneumonia in the next 2 days! So I have to watch for that! She did have another gagging attack while there but I didn’t even bother yelling for the nurse. It lonly asted a couple seconds. I told my friend how I was treated at first and she was pissed. She said that wasn’t the receptionists place to tell me if my child needed to be seen or not! Either way she is okay now. So that was our fun filled day!
